Mediation

Mediation is an informal process in which a neutral person conducts discussions with parties in dispute with one another.  The process is designed to enable parties to reach a mutually acceptable agreement on all or some of the issues they are facing in their dispute.

There are many advantages to mediation such as the mediation process allows the parties to have some control over the outcome of their case.  It also allows all parties to resolve their issues quickly with significant savings.

Anything discussed during mediation is confidential and participating in mediation does not mean that you give up your right to go to court.  Parties are expected to participate in good faith during the mediation, but are not required to arrive at an agreement,  although doing so does eliminate the risk involved with going to court.

Ms. Salinas believes strongly in the benefits of mediation and encourages her clients to consider attending mediation.  In most instances mediation is mandatory.
