Child Support

Non-Custodial parents are required to pay child support in the state of Tennessee. This is not an option, but an obligation, as parents are responsible for the financial needs of their children.

The State of Tennessee uses an “Income Shares” model for determining child support payments. Income Shares requires the courts to review both parents’ incomes before setting a child support amount.

When the alternate residential parent neglects to support the child, legal action may be appropriate.  Ms. Salinas has extensive  experience in working with parents to settle support issues.
